KOA’s Specialty Thick-Film Resistors enhance the traditional thick technologies with improved power and performance characteristics. The WK73(R/S) is our wide-side termination (reverse-geometry) type resistor, which offers enhanced power and improved thermal cycling capabilities. The SG73 is superior in pulse and surge capability. The HV73 series (HV73/HV73V) offers a maximum overload voltage of 1000V as compared to the RK73, which has a maximum overload voltage of 400V. Our RS73/RK73G precision-thick resistors have a low T.C.R of ±25% and tolerance as low as ±.25%.

High-Voltage & Ultrahigh-Value Resistors

Ohmite has multiple part series for high-voltage applications. Due to multiple mountings and custom specifications, Ohmite is confident customers will find the proper high-voltage resistor required to fit their needs. With the custom specifications offered and multiple mountings, Ohmite high-voltage resistors fill the need for multiple applications including power supplies, avionics, medical instruments, and industrial controls.

HVC

High-voltage chip (HVC) resistors offer working voltages up to 3500 volts.  Chip sizes from 0603 through 3512, tolerance as low as 0.1%, and TCR as low as 25 ppm.  Resistance values up to 50G available.  Offers very low electrical noise and low VCR to 1 ppm/volt with excellent high-voltage pulse handling.

High-Voltage Chip Resistors

HVC resistors are ideally suited for handling by automatic methods due to their rectangular shape and small dimensional tolerances. Electrical connection to a ceramic substrate or a printed circuit board can be made by reflow or wave soldering of wrap-around terminations.

Green High-Voltage Chip Resistors

GHVC is the latest addition to our range of high-voltage chip resistor products. It is essentially a variant of HVC designed using green thick-film materials that are completely free of Pb (lead) and its compounds. This allows the product to be RoHS compliant without relying on exemptions that may be withdrawn in the future. Available in three sizes from 1206 to 2512, GHVC has LEVs in the range of 1 to 3kV and withstands up to 7kV peak for a 1.2/50μs surge. It is ideal for high-voltage sensing and protection in compact power supplies, circuit breakers, and medical monitors.
