Mechatronics offers a variety of AC fans with a tachometer alarm option. Equipped with a Hall Effect sensor, these units allow for monitoring of the fan’s rotation via a one-pulse-per-revolution square wave output. This can be a great solution to monitor fan speed and/or operation to protect your system from overtemperature failure due to low airflow.

Mechatronics Low-Power fans are electronically commutated providing the efficiency of a DC fan with the simplicity of connecting to an AC power supply. Available with global voltage input accommodating 100VAC to 240VAC, allowing for a single model to be used in products for both 115VAC and 230VAC applications. Mechatronics Low-Power Electronically Commutated (EC) fans are available in sizes ranging from 60mm-172mm.

Mechatronics High-Temp AC Fans are ideal for applications with high operating temperatures. These models are designed for use in ambient temperatures up to 30% higher than standard AC fans. Durable designs feature an aluminum frame, metal impeller, class-F motor, and special high-temp bearing lubricant. Mechatronics high-temp AC fans are designed to operate in environments up to 100° C, in sizes ranging from 80mm to 172mm.

NMB’s AC Axial Fans range in size from 60mm to 150mm. Available in frequencies of 50Hz and 60HZ, as well as varying rated voltages. Standard sizes for an AC Axial Fan are 60mm, 80mm, and 120mm. The most common AC cooling fan voltages that are available in the US are 115V and 230V.

Designed to withstand moisture, contaminants, salt spray, high temperatures, or corrosive compounds, our line of harsh environment fans will work in many different applications. IP55-rated fans are perfect for environments with occasional exposure to solids and liquids. IP68 fans offer full protection from moisture and contaminants and can be submerged in water up to three meters. IP69K is designed for high-temperature and high-pressure washdowns. We offer select ATEX-rated EC models which are rated for Zone 2.
Our all-metal AC fans are perfect for higher heat applications and corrosive environments.

Mechatronics IP55 AC axial fans provide cooling options for harsh operating environments. The motor encapsulation process protects the motor from moisture, dust, and dirt exposure. Mechatronics encapsulated AC axial models are also available with additional salt fog protection.
Encapsulation is the process of injection molding an epoxy compound that completely fills all cavities around the entire PCB and motor assembly before installation of the bearings, shaft assembly, and impeller. Additional protective adhesive is applied to the wire exit point on the encapsulated motor to prevent possible ingress. Encapsulation is designed to completely prevent water or dust contact with the fan PCB and motor assembly. Encapsulation does not prevent water and dust ingress to the shaft and bearing assembly in cases of extreme or prolonged exposure.
