CBI All-In-One DC-UPS Backup

CBI All-In-One UPS Power Solutions combine the requirements for several applications in just one device which can be used as power supply unit, battery charger, battery care module or backup module. The available power is automatically distributed among load and battery, while supplying power to the load always is the first priority. PSL-SH Series – High Rate Lithium Batteries

Power Sonic’s PSL-SH series has been specifically designed as a drop-in replacement to lead acid batteries. Combining proven lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) technology with an intelligent protection circuit module (PCM), the PSL-SH series delivers more power, faster charging and a longer life at less than half the weight of the equivalent lead acid battery. With high efficiency and ultra-fast charging and discharging the PSL-SH series is ideal for industrial applications where a long-life span and quick charging capabilities are needed.

PSL-SC Series – Connection Lithium Batteries

Combining proven lithium technology with an intelligent battery management system (BMS), the Power Sonic PSL-SC series delivers a battery that lasts longer, weighs less and charges quicker than the equivalent lead acid battery. With its advanced BMS design, the PSL-SC range can be connected in a series or parallel configuration of up to 6 batteries (model dependent) providing a solution for higher voltage and higher capacity applications.

PSL-FP Series – Lithium Cells

Power Sonic’s PSL-FP series features prismatic and cylindrical formats in both energy and power cells. Featuring proven and safe lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry, the PSL-FP series delivers many options for different battery configurations and application-specific needs. With high efficiency, and ultra-fast charging and discharging the PSL-FP series is ideal for industrial applications where a long-life span and quick charging capabilities are needed.

The PSL-FP consists of energy and power cells. Power cells are designed to deliver high current loads over a short period of time, making them ideal for use in high rate and starter applications and energy cells are designed to deliver sustained current over a long period of time, making them ideal for use in cyclic applications.

IP65 Water Resistant AA Battery Holders

Keystone Electronics has met the increasing demands for water resistant and reliable AA battery holders with the introduction of our latest covered plastic battery holders.

These self-contained battery holders can be placed on or off a board, or between components, cards or anywhere within a case or piece of equipment as spaces allows. In addition to portability, these devices also feature coil spring contacts to compensate for variations in battery length and to securely hold batteries in place, assuring positive, low contact-resistance connections.

Sealed Lead Acid (SLA)

ZEUS sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries are manufactured in a variety of size and amp hour (AH) ratings allowing for maximum flexibility in design and use. ZEUS SLAs can be discharged in any position due to their valve-regulated design. They require no special handling when shipping. These batteries provide reliable power output in a variety of applications due to their advanced plate and separator materials and precise electrolyte delivery. This results in greater efficiency and improved ability to recover from deep discharge.

Chargers

a. Constant Voltage Chargers

The most common example of a constant voltage charger is the DC power supply of a simple car battery charger, which includes a step-down transformer from the mains and a rectifier to provide DC voltage. Constant voltage chargers are frequently utilized in the lead-acid cells found in cars and back-up power systems. While generally more complex due to additional protective circuitry for both user and battery safety, lithium-ion cells also regularly incorporate constant voltage systems. Known as a voltage-limiting device, the Li ion charger is comparable to the lead-acid system. To distinguish the Li ion charger and from its lead-acid counterpart, simply note the increased voltage per cell, tighter voltage tolerance, and the lack of trickle or float charge when completely charged. Manufacturers of Li ion cells maintain stringent settings on voltage cut-off, as Li ion is unable to accept overcharge, unlike the relative flexibility of lead-acid systems.

b. Constant Current

The voltage of constant current chargers shuts down when the voltage level reaches full charge and resumes automatically when additional voltage is required to maintain constant current flow. Nickel cadmium and nickel-metal hydride cells or batteries frequently utilize this design.

c. Trickle Charge

To account for self-discharge of the battery, trickle charge can provide continuous charge or long-term, constant-current charge for stand-by use. Based on the frequency of discharge, such charge rates may vary.
Those batteries that are susceptible to damage caused by over-charging, such as NiMH and Lithium batteries, are not recommended for trickle charge. Chargers may be designed to switch to trickle charging when the battery completely charged.

d. Float Charge

Permanent connection exists in parallel between the battery and the load across the DC charging source. These are maintained at a constant voltage just below the battery’s upper voltage limit.
Float charge is mainly utilized with lead-acid batteries for emergency back-up power systems.
