P3 Sealed Pushbuttons

OTTO’s P3 pushbuttons are sealed watertight and ideal for industrial, heavy equipment, and other extreme environments. These momentary action pushbuttons are sealed by a silicone boot operating on OTTO’s patented “rolling sleeve,” providing longer life and smoother operation over a wide temperature range.

High contact force, low contact resistance, and short contact bounce are the result of the pushbuttons’ snap-action mechanism. These characteristics provide exceptional current-carrying capabilities over the life of the switch. With the optional logic level (gold plate) configuration, the P3 is well suited to interface directly to computers and other solid-state devices.

Features

  • Various mounting styles
  • Nine button colors
  • Momentary action, double break
  • Up to 1 million mechanical cycle life
  • Watertight to IP68S available in all versions
  • Watertight to IP69K available in non-push-pull versions
  • RoHS compliant

Detect Switches

With 19 different series of standard detect switches, C&K offers the largest selection in SMT, through-hole, panel and snap-in chassis, and screw-mount versions. C&K’s detect switches are offered in a variety of sizes and shapes, with various actuator orientations including vertical or horizontal, top or side, or right-angle or left, and come with soft actuation force. These detect switches include low-profile, compact, micro- and ultra-miniature designs, with some sealed versions available.

Choose from traditional detect, snap-acting, tactile, magnetic reed, or door interlock styles for your optimum detect switch solution.  In general, C&K detect switches operate at low current, occupy less space, and offer higher life cycles (100k ~ 1M).

Applications

  • automotive (sensors, indicators)
  • consumer electronics (audio/visual equipment, handheld devices)
  • consumer devices (appliances, household goods)
  • computers (peripherals, printers, infrastructure, servers/storage, IT)
  • industrial (sensors, factory automation equipment, testing equipment)
  • safety/security controls (intrusion/alarm switches in network PCs, telecom equipment, cellular phone base stations, door/window alarms)
  • medical devices (including portable monitoring equipment)
  • telecommunications equipment (ATCA and microTCA devices)
  • mobile communications equipment
  • door interlocks that act as detects (computer and industrial enclosures)
  • payment terminals (card detect)

DIP Switches

C&K’s series of surface mount half-pitch DIP switches, low profile and standard profile DIP switches, rotary and coded DIP switches, coded rotary DIP switches, SIP switches, and jumper switches feature a variety of extended actuator and flush actuator styles. C&K DIP switches are available in surface mount, through-hole, right-angle, and vertical mounting options.

Most C&K miniature and ultraminiature DIP switches are process sealed for automated assembly (some require tape seal) and are available in SMT and thru-hole termination.
