A Linear Solenoid is an electromagnetic device that converts electrical energy into a mechanical pushing or pulling force or motion. Deltrol Controls offers a wide variety of different linear solenoid models including C-frame, D-frame, Tubular MED, and Magnetic Latching. Solenoid models are capable of providing up to 1.5” of stroke or travel depending on the model. Different coil windings are designed to provide a range of forces at different stroke lengths. Many models are UL recognized, which assists customers in obtaining required agency certifications.

Kelco Industries’ Long-life Tubular Solenoids incorporate anti-bottoming features, a stainless steel plunger sleeve, and Teflon-coated plungers to increase mechanical life. The anti-bottoming ring and washers prevent the plunger from hitting the plug, eliminating destructive shock forces. The stainless steel plunger sleeve boosts life expectancy over standard thermoplastic cores. The Teflon coating reduces friction and wear between the plunger and the core providing high performance and long life in critical applications.
