NPX Series – Safety-Rated Film Caps

NIC NPX series of radial leaded metallized polypropylene film capacitors, multiple safety agency-approved interference suppression capacitors with “X2” across-the-line (up to 310VAC) rating in a molded box construction.

The NPX Series features a wide capacitance range and improved safety over ceramic capacitor styles (Self-healing metalized film construction), providing low-cost EMI – noise suppression solution in a precision molded case.

NPIS_L/NPIS_LS/NPIS_LP Series – Shielded Low-Profile Power Inductors

Three product series are included within the NPIS_L_ family of low-profile shielded power inductors. NPIS_L_ family utilizes automated component assembly processing resulting in ultrasmall low-profile case sizes with improved quality and higher current ratings than conventional construction power inductors in the same size. Noise reduction is improved by the use of resin-shielding material, making these power inductors the ideal choice for today’s improved efficient DC-DC converters.

    • Twenty-three (23) case sizes ranging from 2mm x 1.6mm to 8.0mm x 8.0mm (LxW) with component heights ranging from 1.0mm to 4.5mm
    • Inductance values range from 0.16uH ~ 330uH in ±20% (M) or ±30% (Y) inductance tolerances
    • Isat up to 11A (NPIS_L), 7.8A (NPI_LP) and 13.8A (NPIS_LS)
    • NPI_LP features lower DCR (up to 30% lower)
    • -40°C ~ +125°C including self-heating (+40°C) temperature rise (+120°C limit for NPIS_L)

NCSR/NCST Series – Current-Sensing Chip Resistors

Low ohmic, precision current-sensing resistors. NCSR series uses temperature-stable precision conductor construction, and NCST uses low-cost thick-film construction. Supplied on tape and reel for automatic pick and placement. Precision resistance values from 0.5 milliohm (0.0005 ohm) to 1000 milliohm (1.0 ohm) are available in tolerances from +/-1% (F) ~ +/-5% (J). TCRs (resistance temperature coefficients) cover range from +/-50PPM/°C ~ +/-600PPM/°C. Industry-standard case sizes from 0402 ~ 2512 with power ratings of 0.050W (1/2W) to 3.0W. Wrap-around terminations with nickel barrier and tin finish are compatible with tin-lead and lead-free soldering processes.

Functional Handles & Components

The Davies functional handle series provides the ideal combination of ergonomics, productivity, and safety.  With switch housing and functional elements, these components are suitable for applications where locks with interlocks are used.  Control functions allow the user to carry out switching functions as required. Individual control functions can be implemented.  Features may include emergency stops, labeled pushbuttons, and LED handle ledges.

Part Specifications May Include:

  • Illuminating handle ledges. Green, yellow, and red LED lights used to display operating status of machine.
  • Keypad used in combination with transponder or with integrated pneumatic valve.
  • Emergency stop with variable NC/NO contacts and LED lights.

PSL Series – Lithium Iron Phosphate Batteries

Power Sonic’s PSL series of LiFePO4 batteries have been designed and developed to provide a lighter, higher power and longer life solution to lead acid batteries. LiFePO4 batteries last longer and can produce ten times the number of cycles than a typical lead acid battery. Power Sonic’s PSH series of high-rate sealed lead acid batteries have been designed and engineered specifically for low-voltage UPS applications.
