The DCNHR Series 450V High-Current High-Voltage DC Contactor Relay is a normally open (also known as monostable) relay with a resin body for corrosion resistance in harsh automotive environments. Versions are available with a pulse width modulation (PWM) coil to reduce power for keeping the contacts closed. Sealed contacts help ensure there is no leakage of electrical arc for safety. The high-current relay’s permanent magnets blow out the magnetic field horizontally to achieve a rapid extinguishing of the DC arc.

The 1554 series comes molded in ABS or polycarbonate plastic and provides watertight protection for boards and other small electronic devices.
Features
- Ideally suited for mounting printed circuit boards or DIN rail-mounted components.
- ABS Versions are molded from general-purpose materials that carry a flammability rating of UL94-HB. For indoor use.
- Polycarbonate versions are UV-stabilized for outdoor use. Gray polycarb carries a UL94-5VA rating, while clear and smoked lids carry a UL94V-0 rating.
- Polycarbonate versions are cUL and UL 508A listed (File # E65324). ABS plastic versions are not UL-listed.
- Enclosure color is a light gray (RAL 7035).
- Gasketed lid with two-piece “tongue & groove” construction prevents access from oil, dust, and water.
- Replaceable gasket is one piece made from high-temperature, UL-listed silicone. Supplied loose inside the enclosure (not preinstalled).
